It describes our credit union's privacy policy and practices concerning the personal information we collect and disclose about our members. It also includes information about the parties who receive personal and sometimes nonpublic information from us as we conduct the business of the credit union.

FACTS WHAT DOES CACL FEDERAL CREDIT UNION DO WITH YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

What? The types of personal information we collect and share depend on the product or service you have with us. This information can include:
  • Social Security number and credit card or other debt
  • credit history and employment information
  • transaction or loss history and wire transfer instructions
  • Location information (mobile application users only) - when you use CACL’s mobile banking application on your mobile device, we may collect and process information about your actual location. We use this opt-in data to provide relevant messaging, even when the app is closed or not in use, to tailor our products and services for our members, and to offer promotions of interest. You can enable or disable access to this information at any time, through your device settings.
  • Camera (mobile application users only) – when you use CACL's mobile banking application on your mobile device, we may collect and process user images. We use this opt-in data to capture check images and for identification purposes. You can enable or disable access to this information at any time, through your device settings.
When you are no longer our member, we continue to share your information as described in this notice.
How? All financial companies need to share members’ personal information to run their everyday business. How does CACL Federal Credit Union Union collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you

  • open an account or make a wire transfer
  • show your government-issued ID or apply for financing
  • provide account information

We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies.
Why can't I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only

  • sharing for affiliates' everyday business purposes - information about your creditworthiness
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

State law and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.
Definitions
Affiliates

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • CACL Federal Credit Union Union has no affiliates.
Non- Affiliates

Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • CACL Federal Credit Union does not share with our nonaffiliates so they can market to you.
Joint Marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

  • Our joint marketing partners include financial service partners that provide securities, insurance and mortgage services.
